About Us
History of Ameshwarnath Mahadev
Regarding “Baba Budhwa Mahadev”, people believe that this Shivalinga is “SWAMBHU” which was first identified by “Ambika Rishi”, son of “Vyas Rishi”. Where this Shiva Linga was ? It was a very dense forest. Rishi Ambika made this place his penance, and it became famous by the name “Ambikot”. This forest was situated on a mound which was also called Ambikot mound.

Om Shri Ameshwarnath Mahadev, who is known as Baba Budhwa Mahadev. This Dham is a holy pilgrimage of Hindus. It is located in Amaon village in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. On the eastern side of this Dham is the holy river of Mother Ganga and in the east direction, Govindpur village is located; to its south-east, Bharauli and Narayanpur are located. Baba Mukti Nath is in Narayanpur village. This is the holy place of Mahadev.
